While the calendar may mark the end of Easter Day, the spirit of Easter permeates the days that follow, inviting us into a deeper encounter with the transformative power of resurrection.

In the midst of our daily routines and responsibilities, it can be all too easy to let the significance of Easter slip from our minds. Yet, the truth remains: the victory of Christ over death reverberates through the corridors of time, shaping our lives in ways both seen and unseen. It is in this spirit of remembrance and reverence that we share an Easter prayer written by one of our congregants and extend an invitation to pray this prayer — a prayer of gratitude, hope, and renewal — beyond Easter Day.

Let us pray

"God Almighty, thank you for giving us new life through your son's death and resurrection. We ask that you create something remarkable from our shattered pieces, similar to how you astounded the women who were hoping to visit a place of decay and death, ready to anoint you. But instead, they went away with good news! For they visited the empty tomb early in the morning when the sun had indeed risen!

For You had conquered the grave.
On this Easter, we reflect on your victory over death, merging us into that transformative moment of resurrection, grafting us into that moment, that promise & hope that again & again the sun will rise.

Today, let your resurrection power renew us, cleansing our transgressions, reviving desolate corners of our hearts, and sowing fresh seeds of faith and optimism. May we dwell as hopeful believers, fortified by your never-ending mercy. O Lord, in our apprehension, instill serenity. In times of discord, foster harmony and solidarity. Meet scarcity with your plenitude. As your devoted flock, we declare: Your spirit is vivid and operational—empower us to discern it and be receptive to its influence!

We affirm as your people: 'Christ is risen! He is risen indeed.' Bind us together in celebration of this sacred occasion, uniting us in your service. Use us as vessels of your grace to spread love and kindness. Move mightily through your church, inspiring us to become beacons of hope in a world hungry for your everlasting peace. Only in You do we find enduring peace, victorious hope, and unconditional love. Your promise remains true: those who seek you wholeheartedly shall find you. Hold our tender hearts in your strong hand, O God, as we embrace your Easter promise and immerse ourselves in your grace. Let your victory be our victory, and may we rejoice in the glory of heaven, face to face with you.

Amen."
