Songs of the Servant

In this four-part sermon series, Songs of the Servant, we journey through the Servant Songs of Isaiah—ancient poetry written to a people living in exile, uncertainty, and fear. These passages speak honestly about discouragement, suffering, and risk, while also proclaiming deep assurance: God chooses, upholds, and walks with those called to serve.

The Servant is given a daunting calling—to bring justice, light, and hope to the nations—yet is never sent alone. Again and again, God promises strength, presence, and faithfulness. Across these weeks, we will explore what it looks like to serve with courage, to persevere when hope feels thin, to trust God in the midst of trouble, and to wrestle carefully with the mystery of redemptive suffering.

This series invites us not only to reflect on God’s servant in Scripture, but also to consider how we, as individuals and as a community, are being called to serve with compassion, humility, and love in our own time and place.
