FAQ's for Basketball Clinic 2019
What grades are eligible for the basketball clinic?
Boys and girls in 4th grade through 6th grade can participate in the clinic. Participation in the Upward Basketball league is not required.
What is the purpose of the clinic?
It is a weekly preseason clinic to build basketball skills and spiritual awareness. Players will perform drills to gain proficiency. The clinic will not include any games. Drills will be done in a Tell-Show-Do sequence with instruction and demonstration coming from experienced coaches.
Does my child have to be at a certain skill level to participate?
No, all skill levels will be accepted. Players will likely be grouped by skill level for certain drills. Beginning players will have the opportunity to learn fundamentals before the season begins while more advanced players will be challenged to progress their skills even further.
Where will the clinic be held?
All sessions will be at Bethel IUMC, 1220 Bethel Rd, Columbus, OH 43220.
How do I register?
Click on this link and it will take you to a registration page where you can register. You will need to choose whether you are registering for only the Bethel Clinic OR Upward+Clinic.
What is the cost?
If you are participating in the Upward 2020 season the cost is $20 added onto the Upward registration fee. If you are participating only in the Basketball Clinic the cost is $40.
How do I pay?
When you register you can choose the option to pay online through PayPal. Or you can write a check and send it to: Bethel IUMC, Attention: Upward, 1220 Bethel Rd, Columbus, OH 43220. Please write 'Basketball Clinic' on the notation line of the check.
What are the dates?
The clinic will be weekly on Mondays beginning November 11 and ending on December 16, for a total of 6 sessions.
What are the times?
Each session will be from 6:30 - 8:00PM.
